Clinton delegates officially unite behind Obama

Almost all of Oregon’s Hillary Clinton delegates cast their roll call vote for Clinton (D-N.Y.) Wednesday at the Democratic National Convention, but afterward they released a joint statement saying they are unequivocally ready to move forward and support Barack Obama for president.

“The Oregon Hillary Clinton delegation voted unanimously that we will work to elect Barack Obama and support all Democrats up and down the ticket,” Clinton delegate Rep. Sara Gelser (D-Corvallis) said.

According to Clinton delegates, 20 of 22 Oregon delegates that supported Clinton did end up casting their vote for the senator from New York.
