A spokeswoman for the Republican Party of Oregon would not confirm whether Republican Party of Oregon Chair Vance Day will seek the position again when his term expires in January.

“The Chairman has not yet announced his intentions,” ORGOP spokeswoman Brianne Hyder said. Hyder would not confirm or deny whether that meant Day was considering giving up the position. “It just means he has not yet announced his intentions,” she said.

Hyder was unsure when Day would announce his decision. Day has been chair of the Oregon Republican Party since July 2005 after Kevin Mannix stepped down from the position.
