Myers looking forward to a relaxing few months after leaving office

Outgoing Attorney General Hardy Myers is looking to spend some time with family after he leaves office in January, a spokesman for the attorney general said Monday.

Attorney General office spokesman Jake Weigler said that Myers’ immediate plans are to take a few months to travel with his family. Weigler said that Myers will be headed to South America in January.

Myers, who lives in Portland and is a former speaker of the Oregon House, is wrapping up his third term as Oregon’s attorney general. He is being succeeded by John Kroger.
