RNC taps $5 million to invest in Senate races

The Republican National Committee took out a five million dollar line of credit to help incumbent senators in tough re-election battles, the AP reported Wednesday.

According to the AP, two million of those dollars will be given to the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and the rest will be used to help incumbent Senators facing tough races, including U.S. Sen. Gordon Smith (R-Pendleton).
