Some Pennsylvania Hillary Clinton supporters are are still not ready to to back Barack Obama, The Morning Call reports.
"They really almost split it, and as a Clinton supporter, that acknowledgement of how close it is makes it hard," U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz (D-) told the Call. "I am with Hillary Clinton until she is not in this race. I will be for Barack Obama if he is the nominee. I thnk the party will come together quickly. It will take a few weeks for people's emotions to catch up with their declarations, mine included."
Don Cunningham, Lehigh County executive, told the Call he will work hard for Obama in November.
"And I would fully expect that all Clinton supporters, especially elected Democrats, will work jsut as hard for Obama."
Some people inside the Clinton campaign are also backing Obama.
"I think Senator Clinton would be an incredible president and would make a brilliant commander-in-chief, but I am a Democrat first and would have no problem working as hard for Senator Obama as I have for Senator Clinton," said Mary Isenhour, Clinton's Pennsylvania state director.
