Ed Rendell had predicted that U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton would "hit it out of the park."

Shortly after her speech, at a party for Pennsylvania delegates and delegations from three other states, Rendell said Clinton, the New York Democrat, had delivered.

"I think all of us just heard one of the best speeches ever," Rendell said at Invesco Field, both Clintons behind him as he shared the stage with New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine and New York Gov. David Patterson.

"We know what our job is," Rendell said. "Hillary Clinton gave us our marching orders. And we have to do everything we can to elected Barack Obama."

The party, which was attended by delegates from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Florida, was called "T-92," for the [img_assist|nid=1483|title=Former President Bill Clinton at a delegation party Tuesday night.|desc=Gov. As Rendell heaped praise on Clinton, he thought back to his early support for her before the Pennsylvania primary, and remembered her asking if he was supporting her because of the substance of her candidacy or because of his personal relationship with the Clintons.

With a smirk, Rendell joked that he did it "just for her."

Taking the podium briefly, Clinton thanked Rendell and her other supporters.

"Thank you for eveything you did for me," she said. "Thank you for everything you always did for my husband. And thank you for everything you're going to do to elect Barack Obam and Joe Biden."
