Leader of college Republicans group out for online Obama slur
By Dan Hirschhorn, PolitickerPA.com ReporterThe head of a college Republicans group found himself in some hot water recently over comments posted on his Facebook page about Barack Obama.
Adam LaDuca was fired as executive director of the Pennsylvania Federation of College Republicans for writing on his Facebook page that the Senator from Illinois has "a pair of lips so large he could float half of Cuba to the shores of Miami (and probably would.)"
LaDuca's comments created a stir when they were reported by Pennsylvania Progressive, a blog written by Berks County Democratic committeeman John Morgan. LaDuca, 21, told The Associated Press that he regrets the comments.
"In hindsight, when you read it a second time, it's like, 'oops,'" he said. "It was just a dumb move on my part to make a statement like that public."
