Josephs: Pa. is ready for Election Day turnout

After holding a hearing to assess the state's readiness for the upcoming election, state Rep. Babette Josephs (D-Philadelphia) said Tuesday that Pennsylvania is equipped to avoid any major Election Day headaches.

"As a result of the hearing, we were satisfied that the state and its 67 counties are doing everything humanly possible in a bipartisan manner to make sure that all the voter rolls are accurate, those registered are able to vote and that their votes are counted," Josephs, who chairs the House State Government Committee, said in a statement. "We believe that the measures utilized by the counties and Department of State will minimize fraud and protect the integrity of our electoral system."
