Murtha on 'Hardball': I’ve seen a sea change in the people in Western Pa.

U.S. Rep. Jack Murtha (D-Johnstown) appeared on MSNBC's "Hardball" Friday. He told host Chris Matthews that the people of western Pennsylvania are focused on the looming economic crisis but now also want U.S. troops out of Iraq.

Murtha voiced his support for Barack Obama even if some people think he is not experienced enough, saying "Obama's going to do much better than people anticipate."

Asked about the earmarked funds he brings home to the district - a practice John McCain has campaigned against - Murtha said, "I don't apologize for earmarks, I think they're very important. That's part of our job under the constitution, that's what it says we should be doing."
