Inquirer calls PA-6 for Gerlach

The Inquirer has projected that U.S. Rep. Jim Gerlach (R-West Pikeland) will win his reelection race against Democrat Bob Roggio.

The race had stretched into Wednesday morning, as Gerlach erased an early Roggio lead and then some, racking up solid margins in Chester and Berks counties. Roggio had yet to concede shortly after midnight, and a campaign spokeswoman didn't return a call seeking comment.

The Inquirer called the race in the 6th Congressional District at 2:22 a.m., projecting that Gerlach would win a fourth term by four points, or about 14,000 votes.
