Murphy looking for Energy and Commerce seat
By Dan Hirschhorn, PolitickerPA.com ReporterFresh of his freshman reelection victory, U.S. Rep Patrick Murphy (D-Bristol) is seeking a position on the powerful Energy and Commerce Committee, The Morning Call reports.
Murphy handily beat Republican Tom Manion by 15 points in Buck's county's 8th Congressional District, which like the rest of the Philadelphia suburbs has been trending Democratic.
