Report: Former Philly judge could get spot on Obama team

Former Common Pleas Court Judge Nelson Diaz is being considered as a potential candidate for secretary of Housing and Urban Development in the new Obama administration, The Inquirer reports.

Diaz worked in the Clinton administration and was city solicitor under former Philadelphia Mayor John Street.

He told The Inquirer that President-elect Barack Obama's transition team had reached out to him regarding the position.
