Gerber heads SE delegation leadership picks

State Rep. Mike Gerber (D-Whitpain) will remain the chairman of the Southeast Delegation to the state House, one of several leadership moves the delegation made Thursday.

The delegation, which has 26 members, elected state Reps. Bryan Lentz (D-Swarthmore) and Rick Taylor (D-Ambler) as vice chairs. State Rep. Eugene DePasquale (D-York) was elected treasurer and state Rep. John Galloway (D-Bucks) was elected secretary.

Lentz: DeWeese should 'go into exile'

Newly emboldened by his double-digit re-election win, state Rep. Bryan Lentz (D-Swarthmore) has stepped up his criticism of embattled House Majority Leader Bill DeWeese (D-Greene County).

"I wish hewould follow the example of Cicero and go into exile," Lentz told The Inquirer. "I believe in redemption, but don't believe you reinvent yourself and continue doing the same things."

Lentz with $25K on hand

State Rep. Bryan Lentz (D-Swarthmore) raised more than $260,000 since late May and spent heavily for his first reelection bid, leaving him with about $25,000 in cash on hand for the closing days before the election, according to campaign finance data filed last week.
