That was quick! Orie will not run for US Senate.


It seems like only yesterday -- OK, last Thursday -- when Jane Orie, the Pennsylvania Senate’s majority whip, said that she was thinking about a run for US Senate and she's already dropped out of consideration.

A 'Hardball' senator for Pennsylvania?

Voters in Pennsylvania though have not been as favorable to celebrity type candidates. The New York Sun takes a closer look at "Hardball" star Chris Matthews possibly running for US Senate in 2010 against Arlen Specter.
