DNC closed-door meeting ends without agreement

WASHINGTON -- Setting the stage for what could be a full day of testimony, voting, and planned protests, members of the Democratic National Committee's Rules and Bylaws Committee held a private, behind closed doors meeting Friday night where they came away agreeing to a broad set of principals, but no clear consensus as to to implement them, especially as Hillary Clinton's campaign believes the committee can be her last best hope to the nomination.

Grayson goes Ivy League, again

Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson (R-Park Hills) will join eleven of his counterparts from the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) for a conference at Harvard University on April 29.

Grayson and his fellow Secretaries will be discussing the presidential primary process during the one-day symposium. Grayson himself chairs the NASS' Presidential Primary Subcommittee.  read more »

Clinton wins Pennsylvania primary

Hillary Rodham Clinton scored a decisive victory in the Pennsylvania primary Tuesday night, defeating Democratic rival Barack Obama by almost 10 points.

Clinton was winning just under 54.3 percent of the vote to 45.8 percent for Obama with 99 percent of precincts reporting.

Clinton gave a victory speech for supporters at a rally in Philadelphia. "Some counted me out and said to drop out," she said to a round of boos from the crowd. "But the American people don't quit. And they deserve a president who doesn't quit, either."
