AUSTIN - The daughter of President Lyndon Johnson told a crowd of Democrats her father’s dreams were coming true because of Democrat Barack Obama’s historic presidential bid.  

Lucy Baines Johnson told a packed room at the Driskill Hotel that, “Tonight my father’s dream is coming true."    

She wished her mother, former First Lady Lady Bird Johnson, had lived long enough to see tonight’s election.  

“I bet she’s up there with Senator Obama’s grandmother,” Lucy Baines Johnson said.
