Texas: Hilton Americas

5:30 PM. For once today the Parker HQs is quiet. All the staff and volunteers are out knocking on doors looking for the last minute voters.

During the day there was a steady flow of volunteers and organizations coming in to block walk, door knock, and work the polls. There was at least one impromptu rally in the front yard. They were pretty fired up, which is saying something when you know you will be walking the streets for the next 2-3 hours. They all were excited and having fun. Lots of energy here.

The Parker campaign also had morning donuts and lots of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and drinks for lunch! Everyone is looking forward to the party tonight at the Hilton Americas. Lots of people are going to be there. (Hopefully there will be free beer for the bloggers.)
