$100 reward for the anonymous robodialer.

Someone is making anonymous robodial calls concerning the race for Houston City Controller. Whoever is making the calls is doing so anonymously and spreading false information. It is bad enough that the Mayor and the Harris County Democratic Party has issued a statement:
The Harris County Democratic Party and its leaders would not stoop to making anonymous telephone smears against any candidate – let alone one as competent, capable, and loyal to the Democratic Party as Ronald Green.
As Muse pointed out, the HCDP does not get involved in city elections so the call must be bad enough for them to break out from this long standing policy.

Rep. Jared Polis to Keynote 1st Texas Stonewall State Conference

Congressman Jared Polis (D-Colo) and National LGBT Activist Matt Foreman will be the keynote speakers at the First Biennial Statewide Conference of the Texas Stonewall Democratic Caucus (TSDC) on February 28 and March 1 in Austin. Polis, who was elected to his first term in the U.S. House of Representatives in November, is the first openly gay man elected to Congress as a freshman.  Foreman is the former Executive Director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and a dynamic speaker on the subject of LGBT civil rights.

Oddly enough, I've gotten to know Rep. Polis first when I was working at ActBlue and he was in a tough primary battle and I had to help clear up an attack from some locals about whether ActBlue money was federal PAC money (it wasn't).
