BREAKING: Dunne not running for governor

Democrat Matt Dunne, a former State Senator, is announcing that he is not running for governor and that he is supporting potential candidate Peter Galbraith, the Burlington Free Press is reporting.

“Dunne said it will be a few weeks before he can reveal the reason he won't run. Dunne has been working as a consultant to Google. He also started the Service Politics Institute, which points young people to community service.

“Dunne said he supports another possible Democratic gubernatorial candidate - Peter Galbraith of Townshend. The former ambassador and diplomat is considering challenging three-term incumbent Gov. Jim Douglas, a Republican.”
