Dems criticize Douglas' statement about Palin

The Vermont Democratic Party is challenging Gov. Jim Douglas' (R-Vt.) claim that Republican vice-presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin’s (R-Alaska) record reflects the values of Vermonters.

Last week, when Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) announced Palin as his running mate, Douglas told numerous Vermont media outlets including PolitickerVT.com that she shares many of the values Vermonters hold dear and that she can identify with working residents in the Green Mountain State.
