Dean and the DFA

Chances are we'll all be seeing more of former Gov. Howard Dean around town now than we might have thought -- and he might have wished.

Huffington Post's Ben Stein is reporting that Dean, who recently stepped down as chairman of the Democratic National Committee, plans to be an active part of the Democracy For America grassroots activist organization based in South Burlington that evolved out of his Dean For America presidential campaign in 2004.

With exactly four weeks left until the general election on Nov. 4, new ads from the gubernatorial candidates have hit the internet and the airwaves with a focus on everything from Wall Street and the national economic downturn to Vermont Yankee and the decommissioning fund.

Democracy for America hits Douglas with attack ad

Just days after Democratic gubernatorial candidate and House Speaker Gaye Symington clinched Democracy for America's endorsement, the progressive "political action community" launched a scathing commercial ad aimed at incumbent Gov. Jim Douglas (R-Middlebury).
