Sarah Palin has apparently contracted to write a Big Chapter Book. Although her publisher refuses to disclose the size of the advance, insiders have leaked a figure of 11$ million dollars. Only fair, given the workload, and that insane writerly pressure to produce.

Dems criticize Douglas' statement about Palin

The Vermont Democratic Party is challenging Gov. Jim Douglas' (R-Vt.) claim that Republican vice-presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin’s (R-Alaska) record reflects the values of Vermonters.

Last week, when Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) announced Palin as his running mate, Douglas told numerous Vermont media outlets including PolitickerVT.com that she shares many of the values Vermonters hold dear and that she can identify with working residents in the Green Mountain State.

Douglas boosts Palin, McCain in speech to Mass. delegation

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Republican Gov. Jim Douglas said Thursday that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin nailed her speech on Wednesday night, and that the GOP ticket national ticket this year provides an opportunity Republican candidates in traditionally Democratic states.

Speaking to the Massachusetts GOP delegation at its brunch, Douglas said Palin is a great addition to the ticket. Palin, Douglas said, has “energized the Republican Party” and those outside the GOP base.

Douglas arrives at the Republican National Convention

Gov. Jim Douglas (R-Middlebury) has just arrived in St. Paul, Minn., for the Republican National Convention, according to campaign manager Dennise Casey. "I'm looking forward to spending time with the Vermont delegation, taking in the historic nomination of my colleague Governor Palin and hearing Senator McCain's nomination speech," Douglas said in an email to PolitickerVT.com on Wednesday.
