McCain announces Hispanic support in state

Coming on the heels of a Seattle visit on John McCain's behalf by U.S. Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez yesterday, Sen. McCain's campaign today announced the Washington Hispanics for McCain group, a statewide organization hoping to boost the presumptive Republican nominee's support among Evergreen State Hispanics.

"John McCain has a distinguished record of serving our country and he has proven that he understands the unique issues facing the Hispanic community," said Benton County's Tony Benegas, Washington Hispanics for McCain Chairman. "He is a man that all Americans can admire and trust for his willingness to put politics aside for the good of the nation.

"John McCain has a comprehensive plan to build a stronger American economy that will promote small business growth and job creation in communities like ours, which is clearly one of the most pressing issues we face today. He also knows that we need to address immigration issues and supports a realistic approach to solving this, something that I know affects many members of our community."
