McMorris Rodgers elected vice chair of House Republican conference

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Spokane) was elected vice chair of the House Republican Conference today, a position she announced she was running for early on last week.

The conference helps House Republicans develop communications strategies.

McMorris Rodgers to seek Republican House leadership role

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Spokane), fresh off of a resounding re-election to a third term in the 5th Congressional District, announced Friday that she would seek the office of Vice Chair of the House Republican Conference.

The HRC is the organizational body for all Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives, and is integral in selecting House leadership and committee chairs, as well as intra-party communication and floor debate organization.
